No vehicle is designed to break down, but it is an unfortunate inevitability that most will face in time. Yours is no exception and a better safe than sorry attitude is important. The best way to be pro-active is to stock your vehicle with a roadside emergency kit. An appropriate kit could include but is not limited to the following:
  • Non-perishable food
  • Water for drinking and coolant
  • A fire extinguisher
  • A space blanket
  • Toilet paper and/or paper towels
  • A first-aid kit containing essentials such as rubbing alcohol, bandages, antibiotic ointment, and aspirin
  • Road flares
  • Traffic cones
  • Jumper cables and/or a jump box
  • A shovel
  • A Swiss Army knife
Every vehicle is different and may require something different than what's listed. It is important to have equipment to keep you and your vehicle safe in case of a wreck or breakdown. Be sure to restock your kit every year.
