Arguably the most iconic movie car ever the 1968 Mustang GT used in the film "Bullitt" staring Steve McQueen as detective Frank Bullit. Today's generation probably hasn't even watched the entire film but they know "the chase", that famous scene in which McQueen races through the streets on San Francisco. Recently Ford revealed the 2019 Bullitt edition Mustang GT coming later this year. Based on the GT performance package it will include upgrades like Brembo six-piston front brakes, a Torsen limited-slip differential, a larger rear anti-roll bar, and a bigger radiator to keep the Bullitt's engine cool. The 480 horsepower 5.0 V-8 is 20 more than the standard GT, helping it attain a top speed of 163 mph. While in need of restoration fans of all ages will be happy to know that the original Bullitt is still alive. Here are 10 images of the car as it stands today.
